Alternative Education

Programs providing additional support and guidance!

Alternative Education, the Center for Advanced Studies, provides support for Morongo Tribal Members and 1st Generation students, Kindergarten through 12th, who are currently enrolled in a local district, Independent Study Program or Tutoring Program.

Students also receive one-to-one academic guidance counseling, including high school credit tracking, transcript checks, and IEP/SST advocacy and support. In addition, students receive support with College preparedness, enrollment applications, finalizing college entrance essays, and scholarships.

The Center also offers career counseling for Tribal Members and 1st Descendants who are seeking accredited studies leading to a diploma, certification, career, career change, or college degree of their choice.

Independent Study
& Tutoring Program

After School Program Schedule:
Monday – Friday 2:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: Virtual by appointments only.

The Morongo After School Study Hall provides a supervised “quiet place” for Morongo students to work independently on their school homework assignments. While students are encouraged to work independently, tutoring assists with complex concepts. The After School Study Hall is located at Upper Campus, and it serves Tribal Members and 1st Descendants students attending local school districts.

Parents will be responsible for student transportation to and from Independent Study
